THE HILARIOUS HIJINKS
OF E.A. POE

ROLES: co-creator, writer, director

A surrealist, anachronistic comedy-musical universe where Edgar Allan Poe is reimagined as an emo-pop disaster trying to survive 19th-century publishing. What began as a pilot script has grown into a full multimedia project: original singles, music videos, character-driven social content, and short films—all made on a scrappy indie scale.

Co-created with Ike Flitcraft (our eyeliner-smudged Poe) and Tom Gault, the project blends The Great, Hamilton, and Schmigadoon with chaotic pop-punk energy. We’re expanding the Poe-verse through ongoing releases while also seeking partners to the bring the full pilot to life.

Listen to the songs below, watch the new videos, and dive into Poe’s beautifully unhinged world by following him on Instagram.

WRITER NOTES: The Hilarious Hijinks came to life when Ike Flitcraft and I decided to turn our show business misadventures, passion for mental health, and obsession with literary icons into a surrealist rock opera. Ike wrote the lyrics, we co-wrote the book, and Tom Gault produced the musical tracks with us. We recorded five rock numbers with radio play portions, bringing Edgar Allan Poe and other iconic characters into this wild, off-the-rails journey. It’s a love letter to mental health, literary chaos, and the thrill of creating something unique. We’re currently looking for partners to help bring the pilot to life and working on a one-man play starring our version of Poe. You read the pilot here.
